Braces - Need?

These days, beauty treatments leat dental braces or orthodontic treatment to attract many people. Teens, adults, until the parents, came to the dental clinics to seek information and services for orthodontic treatment, orthodontic treatment, especially bridge work. Need braces? Together Drg. Fadli Jazaldi, Sp. Ort. let us examine further.
Generally, those who need braces are those who have the problem of pad teeth, among others, the composition of teeth are crowded, irregular, forward (buck) and (cakil). But not infrequently also that there is
no problem even chimed in to "paired braces." The goal diverse, ranging from the wish to improve the composition of teeth to be orderly and well-ordered, improve the function of chewing and talking, until the desire to improve appearance, self-confidence, and social status.
Goals and desires of the community to have an orderly arrangement of teeth and well-ordered show that public awareness of the condition and health of the oral cavity as part of general health was very eningkat - regardless of the initial reasons that may only pay attention to mere aesthetic value. In addition, by having an orderly arrangement of teeth, we will be free from caries and disease support network, have a good chewing function, and bebasa from possible pain in the joints of the jaw and head, probably caused by the bite discrepancy.
The cornerstone of modern science began with the publication of orthodontic research Dr. Edward H. Angel (1890). He classifies the entire maloklusi (the discrepancy bite) into 3 major groups based on their characteristics, make a statement about normal occlusion of teeth and, more important is he to formulate bridge work orthodontic treatment system called "Edgewise System" (1928), which became the basis to develop existing devices such as bridge work today. Broadly speaking, the tools used in orthodontic treatment is divided into removable devices (removable appliances), device functional (functional appliances), and bridge work tools (fixed appliances). All three devices have the nature, characteristics, and their respective functions.
THREE orthodontic appliances
There are 3 types of orthodontic treatment devices, such as that formulated Dr. Edward H. Angle, which is as follows:
Exhalation or appliances which are often also called "stirrup" is the orthodontic appliance that can be installed and removed by the patient alone, shaped kind of acrylic base. Will be planted at the base of the wires that can be activated, which serves to move the gear-cog. Because of its removable, its success depends strongly on the frequency and duration of use of these tools. If the rarely used, the expected tooth movement will not occur. In addition, these devices have limitations, among others, are often only able to move the crown of our teeth. So, if its demands to move the overall position of the tooth crown to the roots of teeth, the tool is less effective. In general, removable devices are effective for simple tooth movement, as well as tools seabgai passive treatment after treatment with the device bridge work.
Functional appliances are removable devices that are designed to make corrections to the teeth and jaws, like crooked teeth (lower jaw structure is more backward than the upper jaw) or teeth cakil (lower jaw structure is more advanced than the upper jaw). This treatment is effective when done in infancy. This tool forms vary, but generally used to direct the force of the muscles of the mouth that occurs pad functioning time, so it can move the teeth and jaws into positions that are expected. Same with removable devices, success often depends on whether or not and the length of time of use.
Counterfeit bridge work or Fixed Appliance is a tool that all orthodontic appliances (braces / bracket and band molar / molar ring) attached to the teeth. Yagn long wire around the teeth (arch wire) tied to the braces with the help of tiny colored rubber. This tool has many advantages, among others, can move the teeth into different directions, indicating a wider case and complex, and exerts a force (force) that can be controlled and adjusted to the condition of teeth and oral cavity. It should be noted that for these devices is a matter of health and oral hygiene and dental support network. Given these tools are 24 hours in the oral cavity, the control of oral hygiene is absolutely necessary. Braces of existing materials vary widely, some made of metal, plastic, or tooth-colored ceramics that are aesthetic. In recent years the start was also developed techniques to attach orthodontic braces on the back so that dental bridge work tools are not visible when smiling. This technique is called lingual orthodontics.
Of the many tools orthodontic treatment, devices bridge work is currently the most widely used. Incompatibility problems bite correction (maloklusi), irregular positions (molposition) teeth from the mild to the complex, and jaw relationship in a limited correction can be done with these tools. But diagnosis and appropriate analysis and thorough kasua by orthodontic specialist dentist (orthodontist) remains a very important role in the success of treatment.
